Just in case there are any of you that are interested in developing
digital photography skills primarily as pertains to architectural
photog. and you tend to feel snow-bound in the middle of winter we are
putting together a course that combines camera technique with editing
on either Photoshop 7.0 or Elements (your choice). Having had numerous
requests over the years to do it myself, I decided to call upon old
friend David Hiser who has some 100+ National Geographic assignments to
his credit along with a ton of other stuff. February 5th to 9th at our
place in Canelo. In essence this is a course of how to get great shots
of buildings/people and learn the photo editing essentials of those
complex programs and have some fun in the process. If you want more
info, get in touch with me directly.

Course Fee - $450
Lunch is included
Additional meals and accommodations available check with us if
desired.
Course Description:
With digital cameras and portable computing equipment it is possible to
photograph and later the same day edit, perfect, project and/or print
images.
Using this technology, this workshop is an introduction to the basic
digital imaging process from start to finish.
On early morning field trips we will photograph in the surrounding
area: hand built homes, ghost towns and interesting individuals who
live there. Later in the day we will work with these images in either
Adobe Photoshop 7.0 or Adobe Photoshop Elements 2, an inexpensive, yet
powerful, version of Adobe’s flagship program Photoshop 7.0. Digital
slide shows of the work done will also be part of the program.
In the “digital darkroom” we will be aided by a unique workflow
checklist, a comprehensive, logical guide to process images and enhance
the understanding of these potentially confusing programs. Group
projection sessions and individual critiquing sessions will enhance the
learning process.
It is also the opportunity to work with an experienced professional
photographer with over 30 years experience in international
photojournalism, film editing and layout, book production and digital
imaging.
Equipment:
Digital Camera
Laptop Computer
Adobe Photoshop 7 or Photoshop Elements 2
