Vladimire Institoris
Vlado is an engineer by education, artist and potter and premiere heater builder by occupation.
He has a reputation all over middle Europe and has written three books on fireplaces and heaters.
He is the Slovak National museum ceramic monument restoration specialist. He volunteers much of his
time for his country's extensive tile stove collection which dates back to the 15th century.
He is a founder and former executive of the Slovak Heater Builders Association.
I have had the opportunity to work with him on several heaters, recycled, reclaimed, restored, and
personally produced in Slovakia, Hungary, Germany and Czech Republic. I also hosted him for six weeks
of heater and fireplace building in North Carolina.
